The awarding ceremony will take place on June 23, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Thomas Aquinas, at ul. Stolarska 12 in Kraków. The program of the ceremony includes laudations delivered by Dr. Wojciech Giertych OP, Theologian of the Papal House, prof. dr hab. Mikołaj Olszewski, from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Dr. Michał Mrozek, OP, from the Thomistic Institute, and Dr. Dominik Jarczewski, OP, regent of the province. They will be followed by Father Paluch’s masterclass entitled “Theology of my dreams”.
Fr. Michał Paluch was born on March 14, 1967 in Jarocin. Before joining the Order, he studied at the Music School in Katowice. In 1987 he joined the Order, where in 1993 he made his perpetual vows. Two years later he was ordained a priest.
In the years 1996-2000, he studied dogmatic theology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), wherein in 2001 he defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Profundum amoris divini sustinet nos”. Evolution de la doctrine de la predestination dans l’œuvre de saint Thomas d’Aquin . In 2013, he obtained the degree of doctor habilitation (doktor habilitowany) in philosophical sciences (awarded by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw).
