The Faculty of Theology was informed on January 13, 2021 that Professor Philippe Lefebvre, Dominican, has been appointed by the Holy Father as a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, for a term of five years. This Commission is made up of twenty biblical scholars, coming from all continents. She works on a number of biblical subjects (methods of reading the Bible, Bible studies and Jewish studies etc.) and meets in full one week a year at the Vatican to collect the work of each, to exchange and produce important texts on subjects worked on and discussed by all.
