BRINGING A SACRAMENTAL EXPERIENCE TO THE CONGREGATION
DESCRIPTION
Christians define the Liturgy of the Word as an act of worship consisting mainly of scriptural readings, preaching, and prayers. In this way, each liturgy nourishes worshippers from the table of God’s word. Christians pursue the sacramental presence of the word of God in Jesus Christ, present in the sacred scriptures and the Eucharist. The seminar aims to answer the following questions, What occurs during a liturgical proclamation? What kind of presence do we face during this human action? Proclaiming Holy Scriptures seminar is directed at lay persons and ministers who need to encourage full participation in the worship ministries of their congregations.

The Sacramental act of proclamation
Performance and Symbolism in the Proclamation of the Word
The Lector: Proper techniques of oral interpretations
The Proper Place to Proclaim the Word
LEARNING OUTCOMES
KNOWLEDGE
Reaffirming God’s sacramental presence in the proclamation of Holy Scriptures, in the thought that they are the sacrament of the word of God.
Recovering the sacramentality of the word of God as a way to relocate it meaningfully within worship actions.
COMPETENCE
Able to explain the sacramentality of the Liturgy of the Word.
Able to explain the reenactment action of proclaiming Holy Scriptures
Able to describe new ways to enhance the symbolic value of reading Holy Scriptures during the liturgy
EVALUATION METHODS
A contribution of a PowerPoint presentation (or keynote) of approximate 12 slides or a guide of 5 pages 2500 words maximum, to train lectors for the Liturgy of the Word.
Participation in the debate during the second week (quality over quantity)
