Küratörlüğünü Silvia Pedone ve Domenico Ventura’nın üstlendiği sergi, küratörlerin Konstantinopolis/İstanbul surları üzerine onlarca yıldır yürüttükleri çalışmalara, kavramsal ve metodolojik, tarihsel ve güncel ikili bir yaklaşımla odaklanıyor: bir yanda heybetli surların imgesi ve ikonografisi, diğer yanda ise «hafıza» ya da «kalıntılar» dediğimiz şeyin modern algısı.

The exhibition, curated by Silvia Pedone and Domenico Ventura, focuses on the curators’ decades of work on the walls of Constantinople/Istanbul, through a dual conceptual and methodological, historical and contemporary approach: on the one hand, the image and iconography of the imposing city walls – on the other hand, the modern perception of what we call “memory” or “ruins”.
