Küratörlüğünü Silvia Pedone ve Domenico Ventura’nın üstlendiği sergi, küratörlerin Konstantinopolis/İstanbul surları üzerine onlarca yıldır yürüttükleri çalışmalara, kavramsal ve metodolojik, tarihsel ve güncel ikili bir yaklaşımla odaklanıyor: bir yanda heybetli surların imgesi ve ikonografisi, diğer yanda ise « hafıza » ya da « kalıntılar » dediğimiz şeyin modern algısı.

The exhibition, curated by Silvia Pedone and Domenico Ventura, focuses on the curators’ decades of work on the walls of Constantinople/Istanbul, through a dual conceptual and methodological, historical and contemporary approach: on the one hand, the image and iconography of the imposing city walls – on the other hand, the modern perception of what we call “memory” or “ruins”.
